BitMEX is a cryptocurrency trading platform, owned and operated by HDR Global Trading Limited, which is headquartered in San Francisco, California, and registered in the Republic of Seychelles.
It is a top-five cryptocurrency trading platform, but Coinmarketcap doesn't count Bitmex's trading volume because of leverage.
Members can trade Bitcoin and any other Altcoin like Ethereum with a maximum x100 leverage.
Trading Fees
| Maker | Taker | |
|---|---|---|
| Bitcoin | -0.025 % | 0.075 % |
| Altcoin | -0.075 % | 0.250 % |
Advantages
- Maximum x100 leverage trading without any requirement. One of the big trading platforms, bitfinex, supports only a maximum x3.3 leverage, and Bitfinex requires a minimum $10,000 balance to use their platform.
- No trading fee on maker orders.
Complaints
- Bitcoin withdrawal is manually processed once a day. All requests will be pending until UTC 13:00. [1] It is a terrible system because other trading platforms' withdrawals take less than 30 minutes.
- No tether. Although you don't have any position, wallet balance always fluctuates depending on bitcoin's price.
