History
Bizzabo was founded in 2011 by Eran Ben-Shushan, Alon Alroy, and Boaz Katz.[1] In December 2020, the company raised US$138 million in Series E financing led by Insight Partners.[4]
In 2021 Bizzabo announced a series of acquisitions: Whalebone (May),[5] x.ai (June),[6] and TeeVid (October).[7]
Products and technology
Bizzabo describes its platform as an "Event Experience Operating System(OS)" that covers registration, content programming, engagement tools, and analytics for professional events.[8] In 2023 the company expanded its on-site hardware with Klik SmartBadges(TM), NFC-enabled wearables for check-ins, lead capture, and contact exchange; the update was covered by trade media and a company announcement.[9][10]
