Jabbar Noya Abu professionally known as Blacboyy, is a Nigerian-born artist, songwriter, and musical producer currently based in Canada. He was born in Lagos, Nigeria, and developed a deep passion for music from an early age. Blacboyy's musical journey was heavily influenced by his father, who introduced him to a diverse range of music genres, including rap and soul music from the 80s and 90s. Growing up, Blacboyy was exposed to iconic artists like Snoop Dogg, 2Pac, Janet Jackson, Michael Jackson, and many others. This collaborative effort resulted in the release of the track "Game." In 2022, Blacboyy officially rebranded himself as "Blacboyy" and released his debut single under this new identity, titled "Militant." Just a day after this release, on Halloween, he dropped his very first EP, titled "Come Out and Play." This EP featured collaborations with $odaman, DEELA, and Kashiff Gbaja. Building on this momentum, Blacboyy continued to impress with a two-track single release titled "Angels Cry Too," which included production by the renowned producer YOUFRKEN, also known as Ken Reagan.
