Black Christmas is an upcoming 2019 slasher film directed by Sophia Takal, and remake of the 1974 film of the same name.

A group of students are stalked by a stranger during their Christmas break.

Production[edit]

On June 13, 2019, Blumhouse Productions had started developing a remake to the 1974 film of the same name, with Sophia Takal directing the movie.[1]

Casting[edit]

On June 13, 2019, it was announced that Imogen Poots, Aleyse Shannon, Brittany O’Grady, Lily Donoghue, and Caleb Eberhardt would star in the movie.[1] On June 19, 2019, it was announced that Cary Elwes had joined the cast.[2]

Filming[edit]

In June 2019, principle photography started on June 31, 2019 in Dunedin, New Zealand.[3]

Release[edit]

In April 2019, the film was scheduled to be released on December 13, 2019.[2]
