Black Hill Records is a record label focused on rock artists.[2] The label was established in 2020 as an imprint of Round Hill Records which is owned by music publisher Round Hill Music.[3]
Black Hill Records was launched by Former Red Bull Records GM Joe Calitri.[4] Calitri served as General Manager of Fueled By Ramen for six years and spent over a decade at Island Def Jam/PolyGram.[5] Black Hill Records[6] was started in Los Angeles, California but is currently based in Nashville, Tennessee.
The roster includes British rock band The Cult,[7][8][9] Toronto two-piece Black Pistol Fire,[10][11] Nashville blues and rock guitarist Jared James Nichols[12] and Tash Neal.[13][14][15]
Black Hill Records put out it's first release on March 11, 2020, which was Nichols's single "Threw Me To The Wolves",[16] which was produced by Jay Ruston (Anthrax, Steel Panther, Stone Sour) and co written by Mark Jackson and Ian Scott (Bishop Briggs, Dorothy (band)).
In 2021 Black Hill Records released albums by Black Pistol Fire, Look Alive[17] on January 29, 2021 and Tash Neal Charge It to the Game on March 12, 2021[18][19] as well as two other singles by Nichols, "Skin ‘n Bone" on June 7, 2021 and "Bad Roots" on July 28, 2021.[20] The label also announced that they would be releasing Nichols new EP Shadow Dancer on September 17, 2021.[21]
