Early days (2012–2016)[edit]

After graduating from his college, RJ Vigneshkanth worked in the Puthiya Thalaimurai TV channel, during the time when his friends planned to start a web radio channel called Smile Web Radio channel. With YouTube started emerging in India, the web radio was later uplifted into a YouTube channel called Smile Settai, which featured some add-on channels; one of them being titled as Smile Mixture.[1] It was his initial idea, when he planned to start a YouTube channel like The Viral Fever (TVF).

He initially created a character called Bangaraj Pandey (parodying Tamil news anchor Rangaraj Pandey), through the YouTube channel, which received a viral response.[2] Later another prank show titled Fun Panrom was hosted by Smile Settai Sheriff, which initially aired on July 2016.[3] It became one of the most popular shows in Tamil Nadu, along with Naan Komali, another show created by Ram Nishanth.
