Blagoja Ljamcevski (Macedonian: Благоја Љамчевски; born 7 April 1987) is a Macedonian professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for FK Pelister in the Macedonian First Football League.
Early life
Ljamcevski was born in Bitola, in what was then the Socialist Republic of Macedonia, part of Yugoslavia. He comes from a footballing family — his brother, Petar Ljamcevski, and his uncle, Naum Ljamcevski, are also associated with Macedonian football.
Club career
Ljamcevski began his professional career with Makedonija GP in the 2007–08 season before joining Rabotnički.[1] He spent much of his prime at Metalurg Skopje, where he made over 160 league appearances and featured in European qualifying matches.[2] After spells at Vardar and Shkupi, he moved to Pelister and later Tikves.[3] He rejoined Pelister in 2022 and remains under contract through 2026.[4]
International career
Ljamcevski made his debut for the North Macedonia national football team in a friendly match against Norway on 11 June 2013 in Skopje.[5] He later featured in two international friendly matches against China on 18 and 22 June 2014.[6][7] In total, he earned three international caps for Macedonia, all in friendly fixtures, without scoring a goal.[8]
Playing style
A left-footed midfielder, Ljamcevski is known for his composure, tactical discipline, and ability to shield the defence. His versatility allows him to also play at left-back when required.
