Blaise Ffrench (born April 30, 1990) is an American Entrepreneur, Athlete, Model, Actor, NBA Agent and Social Media Influencer from Queens, New York. He previously played basketball for Holy Cross High School as a point guard, winning both city and state championships. This earned him a scholarship to play Division One basketball. He stands 6 foot 3 inches.
Early life
Ffrench first held a basketball when he was nine months old and grew up playing under the guidance of his mother, Kym Irby. Irby was a die-hard New York Knicks fan, and she and Ffrench frequently watched games together. [1] In his childhood, Ffrench played basketball and baseball, growing up near Baisley Boulevard. Much to Irby’s joy, Ffrench was playing AAU ball by sixth grade.
High school career
Beginning as a freshman, Ffrench played for Holy Cross High School in Queens, New York.[2] That year, Ffrench helped the team reach the CHSAA city finals. In his senior year, Holy Cross won the city and state basketball championships. In a thriller of a game, Holy Cross High School was able to advance to their first ever CHSAA class AA city championship game by upsetting Rice 64-62 at St. John’s University. Ffrench scored the game-winning points for the Knights.[3]
On a trip to the Glaceua Building, the Holy Cross basketball team met with Holy Cross Alumni and Vitamin Water Cofounder, Mike Repole. Repole is also Founder of BODYARMOR SuperDrink. [4] Blaise was intrigued by the presentation and wanted to immediately work for Repole. The two kept in touch and became good friends. Ffrench would ultimately go on to work with Repole on building the BODYARMOR brand.
College career
Ffrench began his Division One career at University of Texas – El Paso, transferring after his freshman year to Saint Peter’s.[5] In his sophomore year, Ffrench would help the Saint Peter’s Men’s Basketball team make it to March Madness.[6] Ffrench went on to earn an MBA in management and entrepreneurship.
Professional career
BODYARMOR SuperDrink
While still at school, Ffrench began marketing for BODYARMOR SuperDrink, a natural sports drink that is now sold at major retailers across the country. Coca Cola later went on to become a stakeholder in BODYARMOR SuperDrink, further escalating the success of the brand. Through his work with BODYARMOR, Ffrench gained connections with some of the world’s most influential athletes like James Harden, Floyd Mayweather, the late Kobe Bryant, Skylar Diggins and many others.
According to Ffrench, working for BODYARMOR has been a blessing. “It has taught me so much about how to grow a successful company, and it’s acted as a blueprint for starting my own company.”
Social media and acquisitions
Since the $6 Billion record sale of BODYARMOR SuperDrink, Ffrench has pursued acting, modeling, entrepreneurship and has acted as an NBA agent. He has made appearances in TV shows including Power, The Code, Blacklist, Law And Order SVU and Wutang American Saga. In February of 2022, he appeared in the movie Marry Me, alongside Jennifer Lopez. In addition to acting, Ffrench is a model and has worked with brands such as Saks Fifth Avenue, Banana Republic, Four Seasons, Puma, Suit Shop, LoveSac, XTEP Official, Rad Power Bikes, Milk Bar, Target, Helix, Lite Boxer, Ashley’s Furniture, Beverly Hilton Hotel, New York Mets, New York Knicks. On September 21, 2022, Ffrench threw out the first pitch at The New York Mets game. [7] In October 2022, Ffrench participated in The New York Knicks Celebrity Basketball game. Ffrench has established a large social media following. He has over three million Instagram followers, as well as a growing following on Tik Tok.
When it comes to his outlook on work, Ffrench credits his mother. “She never wanted me to work for anyone and really pushed me to become an entrepreneur.”
Personal life
Son of Kym Irby, Grandson of Linda Glover, Nephew of Irv Gotti.[8]
