Mathius Herman (born February 20, 1998), professionally known as Blasian Beats, is a Canadian record producer from Ottawa, Ontario. Blasian Beats is known as a Canadian producer of hip hop, trap, and R&B instrumentals. Blasian's career started in the early stages of high school when he originally wanted to become a DJ, searching for programs to make music with. Coming across FL Studio, Blasian would start his career making music on his father's computer. Blasian Beats is now one of the most popular producers on the platform Soundclick, having 158 number one entries and over 200 top 10 entries.[1]

Career

In 2018, Blasian Beats was a part of his first platinum album recording with Kodak Black's *Dying to Live*. *Dying to Live* debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 with 89,000 album-equivalent units (of which 5,000 were pure album sales).[2] It is Kodak Black's first number-one album on the Billboard charts. Blasian produced the record "In the Flesh" along with producers Snapz, Ben Billions and Nik Dean.[3] Other singles produced include Kashdoll "For Everybody", Rick Ross "Supa Cindy" and Higher Brothers "Top".

Influences

Growing up watching and listening to producing legends such as Timbaland, Kanye West and Dr. Dre. Blasian's most prominent musical influence that drove him to start creating his own music was record producer Lex Luger. Lex Luger's music style is regarded as "trap music," which is very evident in Blasian's productions.
