BlingBling (/blɪŋ-blɪŋ/; Korean:블링블링; Katakana:ブリンブリン: also stylized as Bling Bling) is a 6-member girl group from South Korea working under MAJOR9. The group consists of 6 members: Yubin, Jieun, Ayamy, Marin, Juhyun and Narin. They debuted in both Korea and Japan on November 17, 2020 with the single album G.G.B.
Career
2020: Introduction and Debut with G.G.B
On July 20, 2020, their SNS accounts were opened and a video of the 6 girls performing a mashup of BTS' "Fire" and NCT U's "Boss" was released. From August 13 to September 7, the six members were presented through social media, beginning with Yubin, followed by Choi Jieun, Ayamy, Marin, Cha Juhyun, and Narin respectively.[1] On October 25, 2020, it was revealed the group would debut in both Japan and South Korea.[2]
On November 17, 2020, the group made their debut with the release of their first digital single G.G.B.[3]
2021: Contrast
On May 20, 2021, BlingBling released their first extended play, Contrast, and the title track Oh Mama.[4][5][6][7]
