Blockchain Valley
Blockchain Valley is the vision of CEO and founder Niko De Jonghe. The project is a 2million m² master-planned smart city 18.5 km northwest of Sofia, Bulgaria which is currently under construction. Blockchain Valley will utilize digital, telecommunication, and blockchain technology to benefit the residents, tourists, and businesses by increasing the efficiency of traditional networks and services. They look to set an example as to how the evolution of traditional technology and the emergence of blockchain technology can create a more responsible, efficient way of living.
Blockchain Valley Virtual[edit]
When the COVID-19 pandemic struck in 2020 Niko De Jonghe noticed a unique opportunity when whole countries were in lockdown. His idea was to have a virtual copy of the actual smart city in Virtual Reality. He created Blockchain Valley Virtual a place where you can visit virtual concerts, festivals, events, training/workshops, cinema, conferences, sports sessions, gamification, and art galleries. Together with NFT artist Vesa Kivinen they created a virtual NFT gallery where people can bid on NFT artworks just like in real life.
New headquarters[edit]
In 2021 Blockchain Valley and Blockchain Valley Virtual moved to their new offices in Capital Fort where they have working places for 150 employees.
