Blockskye is an American corporate travel management and financial technology company headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts. Founded in 2017, the company develops blockchain-based infrastructure for booking, payment and settlement of business travel, aiming to connect corporate buyers directly with airlines and other suppliers while reducing reliance on traditional intermediaries.[1][2] The company works in strategic partnership with the travel search engine KAYAK, whose enterprise corporate booking tool is powered by Blockskye's technology in a collaboration that also involves PwC.[3]
History
Blockskye was founded in 2017 by Brook Armstrong and Michael Share.[1][4] In January 2019, the company completed a proof of concept with Airlines Reporting Corporation (ARC) and United Airlines that used a private blockchain to report and settle airline tickets and to track ticket lifecycles through smart contracts.[5] The pilot was cited as an early example of blockchain being applied to airline retailing and settlement.[6]
In July 2024, Blockskye, KAYAK and PwC US announced KAYAK for Business Enterprise, a customized corporate booking tool, together with Blockskye Pay, a blockchain-based expense product intended to remove traditional employee expense reports. PwC US made the tool available to more than 75,000 employees.[7][3] In February 2025, Deloitte signed with Blockskye for its U.S. travel program, a contract that displaced incumbent provider BCD Travel from that portion of Deloitte's program.[8]
In July 2025, Blockskye announced it had raised US$15.8 million, bringing total funding to approximately US$33 million. The round was led by Blockchange, with participation from United Airlines Ventures, Lightspeed Faction, KSV Global, Lasagna, Litquidity Ventures, Longbrook Ventures and TFJ Capital.[2][9]
Products and technology
Blockskye operates a corporate travel platform that combines booking, payment processing and expense management on distributed ledger technology, which the company describes as providing a single source of truth shared by the buyer, travel suppliers and the traveler.[3] The platform aggregates airline content from direct, New Distribution Capability (NDC), global distribution system (GDS) and aggregator sources, and supports booking across multiple channels including KAYAK and airline apps.[4] Named products include the B360 platform, BMAX, and Blockskye Pay.[2][7]
Clients and reception
Publicly disclosed clients include PwC, Diageo, Tripadvisor and Deloitte.[2][10][8] According to a PwC case study, the KAYAK for Business Enterprise deployment processed more than one million bookings in its first 20 months and produced a roughly 10 percent reduction in intermediary airline ticket fees.[3] In 2024, PhocusWire named Blockskye one of its Hot 25 Travel Startups.[4]
Funding
As of July 2025, Blockskye had raised approximately US$33 million in total. Its most recent round, US$15.8 million announced in July 2025, was led by Blockchange and included strategic investor United Airlines Ventures.[2][9]
