Bo Parfet
Bo Parfet has nearly 20 years of experience in finance and business, and he currently holds positions with both DLP Capital Partners and Denali Venture Philanthropy. Parfet’s extensive experience hasn’t been limited to investments, though. He’s also spent time ascending the world’s highest peaks.
DLP Capital Partners welcomed Bo Parfet as a Managing Director in August 2020. Although new to the investment firm, finding clients and making deals is something that Parfet has been doing throughout his career. In addition to his work with Denali Venture Philanthropy, Parfet has served in Business Development with Bridge Pharmaceuticals and as an Investment Banker with J.P. Morgan. His role with DLP Capital Partners continues a strong investing career.
Denali Venture Philanthropy is a socially-focused business incubator that Bo Parfet founded in 2013. He continues to serve as Chief Executive Officer, overseeing the debt and equity investments that Denali Venture Philanthropy makes in both non-profit and for-profit organizations. Along with looking for investment opportunities that have solid financials, the incubator also seeks out organizations that are having a positive social impact.
Since 2006, Bo Parfet has pursued ski mountaineering at a (literally) high level. He has successfully submitted the Eight Summits: Mt. Everest, Mt. Kilimanjaro, Mt. Kosciusko, Vinson Massif, Mt. Elbrus, Mt. McKinley, Carstensz Pyramid, Cerro Aconcagua. These are the tallest mountains on each continent, including both of the tallest peaks in Oceania and Australia. Parfet is one of less than 130 Americans to accomplish the feat. These accounts are recollected in Die Trying, which Bo Parfet wrote and was published during 2010.
Bo Parfet has completed a postgraduate research fellowship at the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB). He holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management and a master’s in applied economics from the University of Michigan. His bachelor’s degree was in economics at Colorado State University.
