Bob Lee Hansler
Bob Hansler (born June 2, 1984) is an American Scouter, survivalist, and horseman. He was born and raised in Odessa, TX. He is best known for his YouTube channel. He is an avid outdoorsman and has served on the staff for three different Scout camps.
Early Life
As a youth he was involved in Cub Scouts, and then Boy Scouts in turn. He began to develop a love for the outdoors as a youth when he first visited Buffalo Trail Scout Ranch. In 2001, he earned the rank of Eagle Scout. After graduating from high school, he attended
University of Texas of the Permian Basin where he graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Biology with his Texas Teaching certificate.
Starting in the year 2000 he staffed at Buffalo Trail Scout Ranch. His first job at BTSR was working as a wrangler in the horse corrals. After a couple years of experience he became the Cavalcade Director, where he was responsible for logistics and organization of food and water for up to 30 people at a time in the backcountry.
Career
Starting in 2000, he has spent most of his summers working at Scout camps. Many of these years he served at Buffalo Trail Scout Ranch in west Texas. He spent one year as a cavalcade wrangler at Philmont Scout Ranch.
And in 2015 he designed and founded the blacksmithing program for Denali High Adventure Scout Base in the interior of Alaska.
After he graduated from UTPB, he taught high school biology in Odessa, TX for four years.

In 2014, Bob moved to his family ranch in south Texas to pursue the career path of a YouTube creator. He has grown his primary channel to over 350,000 subscribers.
On his channel, he teaches outdoor education and wilderness survival skills. Many of his videos delve into topics such as
He resides most of the year on a small ranch in south Texas, but spends much of his time, five or more months each year volunteering at the Buffalo Trail Scout Ranch.
His time at BTSR is spent working with the youth and future leaders of America in the Scouting program.
He has developed and taught many other scouts and scouters the skills of Horseback Search and Rescue at BTSR, where someone may be up to 5 hours from camp by horseback, where no vehicles can go.
He is a Wilderness First Responder, as well as holding certificates from both the National Rifle Association and 4-H as a Rifle and Blackpowder Shooting Instructor.
He runs two YouTube channels with over 300,000 subscribers on his primary channel where he openly teaches the skills he has learned in his life, including foraging and trapping for food, homesteading, bushcraft and survival skills. He is an avid outdoorsman.
Married to Shauna Evett Hansler
Huckleberry is his red heeler and trusty sidekick. Huck, as he is affectionately called, is notorious for turning his nose up at any of Bob's cooking that does not include bacon (at least on camera).
