Bob Sumayire
Bob Sumayire (born 1996), is a Rwandan medical doctor and Health communication strategist. He is the founder and CEO of BHealthy Media, a digital health communication company focused on making Health information accessible to the public through media. He also established Nkundagospel, a YouTube channel dedicated to faith-based encouragement and positive life stories, which grew to over 413000 subscribers.[1]
Early life and education
Sumayire studied medicine and surgery at the University of Rwanda. In an interview with Igihe.com, he revealed that during his studies around 2017, he became concerned about the lack of high-quality, educational health content on social media platforms in Rwanda.[2]
Career
After completing his medical training, Sumayire worked as a general practitioner, gaining hands-on clinical experience. He later transitioned into combining medicine with digital media to address public health awareness gaps. In addition to his clinical work, he founded Nkundagospel, a YouTube channel dedicated to faith-based encouragement and positive life stories, which grew to over 413000 subscribers.[3] He later established BHealthy Media, including the YouTube channel BHealthy Media, a platform produces educational videos, expert interviews, and Q&A sessions on various health topics in kinyarwanda, aiming to empower Rwandans with accurate medical knowledge and promote preventive healthcare.
