Bobur Mansurovich Bekmurodov (born 1 January 1985) is a Uzbek politician serving as a member of the Legislative chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan since 2019 and is the Legislative chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan Uzbekistan Liberal Democratic Party (Milliy Tiklanish) from 19 December 2019.

Biography[edit]

Bobur Mansurovich Bekmurodov was born on January 5[1], 1985 in Kashkadarya region. Father, Mansur Bobomuradovich Bekmurodov (born in Kashkadarya region in 1953), is the head of the department at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Mother, Matonat Ali Kizi Bekmurodova (born in the Republic of Azerbaijan in 1960).

In 2008, he graduated from Uzbekistan State University of World Languages with a degree in translator-philologist.

In 2010, he received his second higher education at the Tashkent State University of Economics with a degree in economics.

In 2005-2006, he was a student of the U.S. program "Partnership for Academic Development" in Uzbekistan.

In 2018, he became a graduate of the John Smith Scholarship Program (UK)

Speaks Uzbek, Russian and English.

Political career[edit]

2006-2007 - specialist of the investment projects department, specialist of the 2nd category of the marketing and client policy department at UAC Bank "Ipak Yuli";

2007-2011 - coordinator of the competition, coordinator of regional branches of the Center for Youth Initiatives "Kelajak Ovozi";

2011-2013 - Director of the Republican Center for Youth Employment Promotion;

2013-2015 - Director of Corporate Development of Creative financial solutions;

2015-2017 - founder of the joint venture Mega Venture LLC;

2017-2019 - Chief Coordinator, Deputy Executive Director of the Development Strategy Center;

2018-2020 - ;

2019-2020 - Executive Director, Deputy Chairman of the National Movement "Yuksalish";

since July 27, 2020 - Chairman of the Yuksalish National Movement.[2]

At the parliamentary elections held in Uzbekistan in December 2019, he was elected a deputy to the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan from the Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan from Beshkent constituency No. 126 (Kashkadarya region).

As a deputy, member of the Committee on Democratic Institutions, Non-State Organizations and Self-Government Bodies of Citizens of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Chairman of the National Movement "Yuksalish" participates in the development of laws and other regulatory legal acts, concepts and programs aimed at the socio-economic and socio-political development of Uzbekistan. Promotes good governance, capacity-building of the non-profit sector, and increased participation of local communities in governance.

Since January 2020, he has been a member of the Committee on Democratic Institutions, Non-Government Organizations and Citizens' Self-Government Bodies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Executive Secretary of the Commission for the Management of Funds of the Public Fund for Support of Non-Governmental Non-Profit Organizations and Other Civil Society Institutions under the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Since 2020, he has been a member of the National Anti-Corruption Council of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Commission on Gender Equality of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
