Bohdana Yehorova (born 2 June 1992, Khimchyn, Kosiv district, Ivano-Frankivsk region, Ukraine) — Ukrainian writer, poetess, artist, photographer.

Biography[edit]

Bohdana Viktorivna Yeorova (Lukaniuk) was born in the village of Khimchyn, Kosiv District, Ivano-Frankivsk Region, Ukraine. She studied at the Khimchyn Secondary School of the Kosiv District of the Ivano-Frankivsk Region and the Lebedivka Secondary School of the Vyshhorod District of the Kyiv Region. She graduated from the Kolomyia Institute of the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University with a degree in Ukrainian Philology. She lives in Kyiv region.

Creative Work[edit]

While studying at the Khimchyn Secondary School, Bohdana Yehorova attended the Oberih literary studio under the direction of Valentyna Rozvadovska. She was included in the literary collection "Poetic works of the people of Khimchyn". She took an active part in the meetings of creative youth that took place in Kosiv. In the senior classes, she defended her works in the section of literary creativity of the Small Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. She also proved herself as a talented artist, illustrating one of the compositions "My soul is flying into the childhood" with drawings for children's poems.

In 2016, she became the laureate of the contest of author's poems "My dream is my future" within the IVth International Music Festival "O-Fest-2016".

Her works have been published in such Ukrainian editions as "Hutsuliatko", "Anheliatkova Nauka", "Hutsulskyi Krai", "Scythia-2021-Spring", "Sklianka Chasu-Zeitglas", "Harnyi Nastrii", "Kolobochok", "When you are with me", "Anthology of Modern Short Stories and Lyrics of Ukraine" and in collective volumes.

Bohdana Yehorova's poems and prose works have been translated by Petro Palyvoda into German and published in "Sklianka Chasu-Zeitglas" (Ukraine), her poems and prose works have been translated by Petro Palyvoda into Esperanto and published in China (Penseo[1]), Turkey (Turka Stelo[2]), Korea (TERanidO) and Brazil (La Lampiro)[3]. Her poems and prose works have been translated by Jeong Ryeol Jang into Korean and published in Korea (TERanidO).

A song with her lyrics translated into Esperanto is performed by the German singer of Hungarian origin Feri Floro.

She is a participant in the International literary competition "When you are with me", dedicated to Dmytro Lutsenko (is on the list of contenders for victory).

Bohdana Yehorova is a winner (together with Petro Palyvoda) of the All-Ukrainian literary competition "Mein Erinnerungsort" ("Place of my memory") of the German-Ukrainian cultural and educational center "Nürnberger Haus" in 2021 (special prize).

Bohdana Yehorova is the author of the book of poems "Search", Khmelnytskyi, Publisher Stasiuk L.S., 2021.

She is a participant in the project "Audio Tales in Ukrainian"
