The pop-rock band Bon Ton started in 1979 with their front man Dario Pankovski a Macedonian singer including Vlado Janevski on drums. The group played and was awarded few times at the Macedonian Rock Fest, but on the Guitar Festival in Zaječar. They were also at all three editions of TV Spot Fest (1985 - "Piši mi"("Meri"), Bon Ton - Elegija (TV Spot Fest 1986)Vocal: Dario Pankovski.Music & Arrangement: Miodrag Božinovski.Lyrics: Gordana Georgievska.Audio (c) RTV Skopje (MRT) 1986 Winner of the Third Jury Award at TV Spot Fest 1986. As well on Makfest (1986 - "Kupuvač na staro" - Best Stage Performance Award, 1987 - "Taa mala Maja" - "Što mi trebaše"1987). Other band's successes were "Dobrite devojki ne go pravat toa" and "Džordano".Winner of the Best Stage Performance Award at the first edition of the Macedonian music festival Makfest, held in Štip, 23-25.10.1986. Vlado Janevski was part of Bon Ton on the stage in Štip. The lyrics were adapted from a poem by the famous Macedonian poet Aco Šopov. There were 29 songs in competition, 26 of which were included on the festival double LP compilation. Later on, a cassette with the festival hits was released. "Taa mala Maja" Song from the Finals of Makfest Music Festival 1987, Štip, Macedonia. There were 32 songs in competition, 25 made it on the festival compilation. The Makfest 1987 double vinyl album was actually the first record independently released by the new label of RTV Skopje (Macedonian Radio Television - Music Production).

Dario goes solo at Makfest 1988 ("Bejbi, Zeland, bejbi") and the year after he sings "Nokjni igri". Both songs were written by Danail Darkovski. There were 28 songs in competition, of which 22 made it to the final evening. 20 songs were released on the festival's cassettes compilation.
