The union was constituted in 2003 as the headquarters of Seventh day Adventist church in Kerala with Pothen Kurian as the first president and was succeeded by stanley samuel and then yovan selvamony and in the recent division council in 2022 elected Pr. P A Varghese as the new president of the union and Pr. Micha Aruldas as Exe.Secretary and Mr. Robby Thomas as the Treasurer. The union consists of four sections and one region . Pr. P A Varghese formerly served as the president for Alappuzha- Pathanamthitta Section.
