Book Of Glock is a non-fiction book by Robert Sadowski, in its 2nd edition first published in 2018 by Skyhorse Publishing.[1] The Book of Glock references all Glock pistols available in the United States with in-depth information on all models—history, serial numbers and letter prefixes, rare and unusual Glock variants, comparative models, cutaway sales models, and more. The foreword was written by Stanley Ruselowski, the president of the Glock Collectors Association.
Each chapter is dedicated to a different model. The book provides a timeline of the company’s evolution and looks at how Glock pistols redefined the combat and defensive pistol. Other chapters touch on rare models, commemorative editions, and Glock tools and accessories.
Reception
In 2019 the website Spotter Up reviewed the 1st edition of the book and had this to say:.
The Book of Glock is an encyclopedia of information on every Glock pistol ... this is definitely a must have for the library of any Glock enthusiast or armorer. I’m sure that I will be referring back to it on a regular basis for both myself and others in my agency that want some specific information on a particular model.[2]
Women & Guns website reviewed the book and commented:
Robert Sadowski will regale you with Glock history, models, commemorative & specialty Glocks, maintenance, and much, much more. There are also six appendices to look up even more specifics, ending with an Index to find that nagging detail you half remember...If you have the Glock bug, Book of Glock is most definitely the book for you, or to gift to a “smitten” friend.[3]
Book Of Glock 2nd Edition
The Book Of Glock went into its 2nd edition in 2023 where it updated all the Glock pistols models and added additional content. One chapter interviews a firearms training instructor from renowned facilities like Gunsite and Thunder Ranch. Plus it relates the story of Jeff Cooper tossing a Glock in the trash. An interview with Mas Ayoob describes Ayoob's experience with Glock from day one to the present. Ayoob reviewed the book and said:
A definite “should read” for anyone who owns a Glock pistol or is thinking of buying one, and a great gift for anyone who fits that profile.[4]
