Borderline Forever is the fifth episode of the fifth season of American web-series Scott the Woz. It aired worldwide on May 23, 2021. As with any episode, it is directed, produced, and written by Scott Wozniak. This episode also features original music and animated segments. This episode sees Scott reviewing many Nintendo games until he notices he has been surrounded by a blue border the whole time, and tries to destroy it.
Plot
In the first scene, after the opening credits, a 5 minute long VHS tape is being played about Scott Wozniak teaching the viewers how to talk about video games. He references many tropes that he and/or other YouTubers do when reviewing video games, while other Youtubers all watch the video.
Scott reviewed many Nintendo games over the years, until he suddenly notices he has been surrounded by a blue border his whole life. After going to the therapy office "The Think Barrel", Scott decides to get his brain checked by Jerry. After discovering that the border grows when Scott talks about Nintendo games, Scott tries to warn his friends. After they don't believe him, they also start to see the border. Scott then goes onto a talk show "Throats for Thought" with Rex to tell everyone about the border, while the rest of his friends give out fliers to let everyone know. After making the entirety of Ohio know about the border, everyone in Ohio becomes aware of it. Scott becomes convinced that the border's power is coming from space. After building the ship "The Hour of Variety", they get attacked by Brett Favre. After fighting off their army, They get saved by Vince Young. Scott and his friends finally find the planet where the blue border resides. After the border makes everyone in the world see a border in their vision, Scott defeats it by shooting Wii games into it. After they realize the border needs a host, Scott takes it into his own hands. The border disappears from everyone else's vision, and the border is never mentioned again.
Animation
Borderline Forever is one of few episodes where animated segments are used. It is the only episode so far that uses CGI, used in the opening to represent the blue border. Most of the animation in the episode is done with claymation, such as the opening logo and the scenes inside The Hour of Variety. There are also 2D animated recreations of old episodes in the credits.
Soundtrack
Borderline Forever has 19 songs as a part of the soundtrack for the episode. It is also the only episode to have an official soundtrack released for purchase and streaming. The episode also has four spoken songs, all sung by Scott Wozniak.
