Bots Top 5 is a Botswana-produced countdown music television series that is broadcast by Channel O, featuring only Batswana musicians and celebrities hosted by Mduduzi 'Mdu Tha Party' Madzwamuse[1]. Though this was the first music countdown show, the production faced some issues in the renewal of a new season. [2]
Season 1
On May 24th, MultiChoice Botswana launched a brand-new music video countdown show featuring homegrown Botswana music videos.[3] They called for submissions of local music videos that were featured on DSTV’s Channel O, broadcasting across 50 African countries.[4]
Season 2
BotsTop5 Season Two made its return premiere on DSTV's Channel O on Friday, 26 June 2026, with the addition of the reaction segment at 7pm, followed by the countdown show at 7:30pm.[5] The weekly repeats of the show will air on Saturdays and Wednesdays[6]
