Bourke Floyd (burk) (born July 26, 1976)[1] is an American actor and model. He is most well known for his roles as Brady on season 5 of The WB's flagship teen-drama, Dawson's Creek,[2] as Roscoe on ABC's Station 19, as Jaime Helliver on the Showtime series Waco: The Aftermath and as Detective Jones in the feature film The Locksmith. [3]
Life and career[edit]
Bourke was born in Wilmington, NC and graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1997 with a degree in Applied Mathematics.[4]
1998 saw Bourke make his Broadway debut in the role of Roger in the musical Rent at the Nederlander Theater.[5]
In 1999, Bourke made his primetime network debut when he was cast as Intern Mike on the Michael J. Fox series, Spin City.
Season 5 of Dawson's Creek premiered in 2001 and gave Bourke his most recognizable role to date as Brady. From 2001 - 2007, Bourke made appearances on the television shows One Tree Hill and The Mountain as well as the feature films Tears of the Sun, Minority Report, Hearts in Atlantis and Big Momma's House 2.
Following a personal loss, Bourke took a break from the entertainment industry from 2007 - 2019 with the exception of a couple of appearances on Guy's Grocery Games.
In 2020, Bourke made a return to the entertainment industry in independent film projects. In the fall of 2020, Bourke filmed his first network television appearance in Reggie Rock Bythewood's Apple TV+ series Swagger.[6]
From 2021 - Present, Bourke has had roles in the VET Tv series A Grunt's Life, the Fox Broadcasting Company series The Cleaning Lady, and Waco: The Aftermath for Showtime as well as a strong supporting role in the feature film The Locksmith starring Ryan Phillppe.
