Box Tops for Education
The Box Tops for Education (BTFE) program is a school fundraising program sponsored by General Mills. Schools can earn ten cents for every qualifying product purchased by parents and turned in to the school. The program began in California in 1996 as a way for schools to earn money through collecting coupons, known as Box Tops, from participating products. Since then, the program has grown nationwide and has evolved to include a wider range of products beyond those of General Mills.[1] Since its inception, the program has awarded more nearly one billion dollars to schools across the country.[2]
