Bradley Jay

Bradley Jay (born Bradley John Huckins[1] on December 18) hosts WBZ's weekday overnight (12–5 a.m.) program, Jay Talking.[2]

Early life[edit]

Jay grew up in Center Strafford, New Hampshire.[3] Before working in radio, he worked as a surgical technician.[2]

Education[edit]

He studied communication, economics, and philosophy at the University of New Hampshire, Class of 1979,[1] and was involved with WUNH radio.[2]

Career[edit]

After graduation, he moved to Boston and got a position with WZBC at Boston College. From there, he got a gig at WLYN, and landed a job at WBCN (FM)[4] and was the deejay for the final show ever at “The Rock Of Boston."[2] (For the last two songs, he played I Feel Free by Cream, which had been the station's first song on March 15, 1968[4] followed by Shine On, You Crazy Diamond by Pink Floyd.[1])

Prior to his full-time slot at WBZ, he was the executive producer for Dan Rea and was a DJ for sister station WZLX.[5]
