Bradley Sheppard Racing[1] is a British Karting team founded in 2019 by Bradley Sheppard. The team competes in major rental and owner karting[2] competitions around the United Kingdom and Europe.
History
The team, also known as BSR, was founded by ex-British champion Bradley Sheppard in late 2019 with the aim of developing drivers through both rental karting and owner karting. The team uses a distinctive fluoro orange colour scheme for its branding and team clothing.
Rental Karting
The adult rental karting team consists of drivers competing in different racing series around the United Kingdom and abroad. BSR recruited Sam Slater[3] in early 2021 with the aim of growing the team and its profile. On June 6th, 2021, BSR won the inaugural British Indoor Karting Championship (2020) title in the lightweight category[4] with Slater, who would go on to win the 2021 title in the Middleweight class[5] with Neil Durrant taking 3rd place. During 2021, the team would go on to win the 2021 Southern Rental Karting championship drivers and teams championship with Slater taking the overall title. Neil Durrant continued the early success of the team by winning the 2021 RapiKart Racing League title in the heavyweight class.
By the end of 2021 the BSR rental karting team consisted of eleven drivers with Sebastian Miller, Christopher Ball, Jennifer Tomkins and Gabriel Quinta joining the team[6]. A BSR academy team aimed at growing youth talent was also set up with Riley Udy, Ben Frankcom and Neve Edwards joining the team in a development driver role. In early 2022, Anwar Beroul-Smith and Dante Dhillon joined the team to compete in the Club100 individual championships. Dante Dhillon made history on August 21st 2022 by becoming the first ever person to win a Club100 Sprint A final as a C2 driver[7]. On October 9th 2022, Beroul-Smith took his 6th win of the Club100 sprint championship season at Whilton Mill[8].
