Bread Charity

Bread is a charity founded to assist New Zealand children living in New Zealand. Founded by Mustafa Sheikh in 2017, the charity focuses on "protecting dreams" of underprivileged youth[1][2]. Volunteers visit low decile schools and assist students with career guidance, goal setting and creating an overall positive mindset[3]. Bread also focuses on assisting students on the East Coast of New Zealand[4][5]
Background
Mustafa Sheikh himself grew up in a low socioeconomic environment[6]. Throughout his upbringing he saw firsthand of detrimental the effects of poverty were on his peers. After graduating from Auckland University he took it upon himself to make a difference - "I always wonder how people witness adversity without doing anything, I realized that I can help and that's what I'm trying to do".[7] Mustafa featured on the November 18' cover of Ponsonby News in which he disclosed the recent loss of a close childhood friend which keeps him striving to better the community. [8]
Supercar Events

Bread hosts a variety of annual Motorsport activities revolving around supercars to raise funds for the charity [9]. Their major sponsors are Hampton Downs and Giltrap Group. Early in the year their supercar rally takes place on Queen Street with police escorting a score of Ferraris, Lamborghinis and McLarens down the main street of Auckland [10]. An annual track day also takes place at Hampton downs in which the vehicles race, raising money for the cause [11].
