Several Indian helpers in Russian army discharged: India[edit]
A few Indians who functioned as care staff to the Russian armed force were released following India's interest, the Service of Outer Undertakings (MEA) said on Monday.
It said India stays committed, as an issue of "first concern", to effectively chasing after with the Russian specialists every one of the significant instances of Indian nationals for an early release from the Russian armed force.
As per media reports, a few Indians have been functioning as security partners in the Russian military and they had to try and battle with Russian warriors in specific regions along Russia's boundary with Ukraine.
"We have seen a few mistaken reports in the media in regards to Indians with the Russian armed force looking for help for release," the MEA said in a proclamation.
"Each such case brought to the consideration of the Indian consulate in Moscow has been firmly taken up with the Russian specialists and those brought to the consideration of the Service have been taken up with the Russian international safe haven in New Delhi," it said.
The MEA added, "A few Indians have previously been released thus."
Last week, MEA Representative Randhir Jaiswal said New Delhi was in contact with Moscow for early release of Indians functioning as care staff to the Russian armed forces and encouraged its nationals to avoid the contention zone in Ukraine.
"We ask all Indian nationals to practice due mindfulness and avoid this contention," he had said.
A 23-year-elderly person from the Gujarat state passed on in a Ukrainian air strike on February 21 in the Donetsk locale on the Russia-Ukraine line, The Hindu revealed.
The Indian man had gone to Russia in December 2023 and was in this way connected to the Russian Armed force as a partner. Around 100 men from India have been selected in a year, the day to day added citing Russian sources.
Basically twelve Indians have been hoodwinked by specialists into battling for Russian powers, reports BBC.
The families affirmed that the tricked men were employed as aides in the tactical foundation in Russia yet later shipped off the combat zone as a feature of "preparing".
