Brenda Jones-Matthews is the former mayor of the city of Franklin, Johnson County, Indiana. She was appointed mayor in 2005 to replace former mayor Joe McGuinness, who had died, and succeeded in 2007 by Independent candidate Fred L. Paris.
Previously, she was county clerk of Johnson county, appointed to fill a vacancy in 1995, elected in 1996, and re-elected in 2000. In 1999, the Association of Indiana Counties named her as Outstanding County Clerk of the Circuit Court.
