Brent M. Longnecker is an author and CEO of Longnecker and Associates, a management consulting firm based out of Houston, Texas.[1] He has published books with both WorldatWork and CCH (Commerce Clearing House) on topics such as stock options, restricted stock, and executive pay. He also serves as an expert witness in cases around reasonable compensation, wrongful death, shareholder oppression, bankruptcies, wrongful discharge and pay inequity issues. He has contributed to establishing precedent in notable cases such as the Enron and Suder cases. In 2005, Brent Longnecker was selected by Consulting Magazine[2] as one of the Top 25 Consultants in the United States.[3] He currently lives in Houston, Texas.

Career[edit]

Brent Longnecker started his career as a consultant at Peat Marwick in 1986. Prior to that, he had owned several financial planning companies. In 1988 he became a regional partner at Peat Marwick. In 1993 he left Peat Marwick to become a national partner at Deloitte, where he met Chris Crawford, future partner at Longnecker & Associates.[4]

Longnecker and Associates[edit]

Brent Longnecker founded Longnecker & Associates with Chris Crawford in 2003.[5] The firm provides consulting services for compensation consulting, incentive plan design, strategic and governance advisory, litigation support and restructuring services.[6]
