Brett Gregory (born October 14, 1971) is a British film director, screenwriter and producer. He is best known for his debut feature film Nobody Loves You and You Don't Deserve to Exist (2022).

Since its release on VOD on May 1, 2022, the film has received notable left-wing political press attention in the UK and US due to its exploration of the effects of neoliberalist governmental policies on the north of England since the 1980s.

Jacobin magazine announced it was "the best film about working-class Britain in years".[1] Prospect magazine observed that it was "a bruising, exhilarating exhibition of British working-class life".[2] Morning Star described it as a "complex and original kind of social surrealism"[3] while The Socialist Party (England and Wales) concluded that it was "a masterpiece".[4]

Together with his production company, Serious Feather, Gregory has also directed and produced a trilogy of not-for-profit music documentaries – Iceland: Beyond Sigur Rós (2010),[5] Manchester: Beyond Oasis (2012) [6] and Liverpool: Beyond the Beatles (2014)[7] – as well as music videos such as "Mother" (2010) for the Manchester band Louis Barrabas and The Bedlam Six.[8]
