NASCAR Pinty's Series career[edit]

Taylor began has career in the Pinty's Series in 2016, opting to only run road and street course events in Ontario.

He made his series debut at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park driving for the Scott Steckly-owned 22 Racing Team. Taylor finished 17th of 27 cars. He would go on to make two more starts in 2016.

In 2017, he again only ran three races on road and street courses.

Part way through the 2019 season, Taylor began driving cars prepared by Ed Hakonson. The boost in equipment helped him to his first career win in the season-ending race at Jukasa. Taylor led only the last lap in the race, passing Jason Hathaway on the last turn.
