History

Barangay Balabag, Kidapawan City is one of the 40 barangays in Kidapawan City. It was created by Prov. Board Resolution No. 580 in the year 1966.

Brgy. Balabag, Kidapawan City is first Barangay in the entire Philippines which proposes a 6-in-1 Barangay Genesis Automation System since 2007 when the former SK Chairman Ephraim Albacite Umpan whom then became a youngest Brgy. Chairman created a simple automated system to simplify barangay inventory records. And, since then the idea on creating a multi-platform system has evolved in his mind that aims to automate all barangay records in the different Barangays in the whole Philippines which could be accessible in 6 electronic platforms such as Android, IOS, Free Data, Barangay Automated Machine.

Barangay Balabag, Kidapawan City is considered to be the pioneer of the highest technologies and innovations at the foot of Mt. Apo. It was also the home of the majestic Paniki, Falls situated at Umpan Village, Brgy. Balabag, Kidapawan City.
