BriGuel
BriGuel is an artist duo consisting of Brianne Berkson and Miguel Glückstern. The name BriGuel is a link between the duo names Brianne and Miguel and they both are descendants of Holocaust survivors.[1]. The duo has developed a comedic TV series about the NYC artist's life, that was launched in May 2018[2].
Personal life and career
Brianne Berkson
Born in New York City, Brianne Berkson is an American actress, singer, producer, and a stand up comic. She started her solo career in 2009 at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe where she performed "A Long hard Look at Love"[3][4]. She has also appeared in TV and film roles as an actress and producer. Brianne attended Columbia University in NYC, and has a BA in English and Comparative Literature.
Miguel Glückstern
Born in Frankfurt, Germany, and raised in Alicante, Spain, Miguel is a rapper, and songwriter. He studied Sociology at University of Salamanca and finished his BA in Audiovisual Communication in Madrid. In 2011, he started a company; Glückstern Films and began producing and directing a series of short films and music videos. In 2014, he released his directorial debut, "Tom’s Dilemma"[5].
Music
In August 2018, BriGuel released their debut song “LOVE,” the single featured MC Klept from Notorious BIG's Junior M.A.F.I.A.[6]. In 2018, they also released "breath.” followed by “Red Ropes” alongside the music videos[7][8]. In 2019, they released “Life Is A Lesson”, “Without Darkness”, and “Who Do You Wanna Be"[9][10][11].
