Brian Gluckstein
Brian Gluckstein is a Canadian interior designer.[1][2][3][4] He lives in Toronto's Forest Hill neighbourhood.[5]
He is the owner of Gluckstein Design Planning and GlucksteinHome.[6] He was selected as one of the top thirty-five designers in the world in Andre Martin’s Interior Design Journal.[7]
Early Life
His parents were in the furniture business, and one of his clearest childhood memories is of being in a showroom at High Point.[8] He grew up in an environment where his mother wanted things changed and updated, and different points of view all the time.[9] He attended an open house at the age of 16.[10] He graduated from Ryerson University’s Interior Design degree program.[11]
Career
Gluckstein is known as a Celebrity designer[12] with Haute style.[13][14] He designed an $8-million presidential suite at the Hazelton Hotel in Toronto.[15] He also designed the most expensive condominium in Canadian history with a "vision of classic elegance."[16]
He is known for his attention to detail,[17] inspiring people to put their own personality into a space,[18] and luxury bedrooms.[19] He believes that "Your style evolves with you as you grow, travel and experience life."[20]
He works with large spaces and condos.[21][22][23] He has designed hundreds of residential projects with architect Richard Wengle[24] who is also his childhood friend.[25]
He is a New Home Design Ambassador for Hudson's Bay.[26]
He created the Gluckstein Home line as a way of making his work more accessible to a wider audience.[27]
He is the author of The Art of Home.[28][29][30][31]
He is on the board of directors at Children’s Aid Foundation[32] and served on the organization's Stand Up for Kids National Award Committee.[33] He designs show homes for the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre that will raise money for the center via lottery.[34]
