Brian LaBovick (lawyer)

Brian LaBovick (born October 7, 1964) is an American attorney and businessman. He is the founder of a personal injury, workers compensation, and social security disability law firm, LaBovick Law Group.[1]. He founded the national specialized medical billing company, Gulfstream Outsourcing and Medical Billing, LLC. He authored the Amazon #1 Best Selling book, *Not a Good Neighbor, A Lawyer’s Guide to Beating Big Insurance and Settling Your Own Auto Accident Case*[2]

Personal Life

Brian was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and is the eldest of three children. His siblings are Jodie LaBovick Scher and Marla LaBovick Murphy.

As a child, Brian moved to Columbus, Ohio and then to Dayton, Ohio. He attended high school at Northmont High School in Clayton, Ohio from 1979-1983. He then went on to attend Miami University in Oxford, Ohio from 1983-1987. While there he majored in Interdisciplinary Studies and obtained a Bachelor of Philosophy. He then received his law degree from University of Miami.

He was an active student on campus and joined the boxing club as a sophomore where he obtained the nickname “Box” which his fraternity brothers still call him.

He was president of his pledge class, president of his fraternity, and president of the United Jewish Students Organization (Hillel)[3]. His senior thesis was on the use of hazing as a commitment mechanism by fraternities.

He met his wife, Esther Uria, while attending University of Miami Law[4] in August 1987 while trying to arrange a date for Esther and his roommate. Brian instead ended up taking interest in her. They were married in 1992 and have practiced law together at the LaBovick Law Group[1] since 1994.

In November of 2020, Brian appeared on PILMMA's Grow Your Law Firm podcast to discuss growing your Law firm and why setting up and running your law firm like a business is going to be instrumental in navigating the future.[5]

LaBovick Law Group

LaBovick Law Group has been practicing law since 1994. LaBovick Law Group has been a beacon of hope for people who need help with personal injury, social security/Disability, worker's compensation, and much more.

Some of these cases have captured the attention of major publications from the likes of Sun-Sentinel, Miami Herald, West Palm Beach TV, and even New York Times.

Brian LaBovick and his team have solved large-claims personal injury suits[6][7][8], reckless endangerment and death of a minor against a large Corporation[9], and a negligence lawsuit against a local county police department[10][10]. LaBovick Law Group have also showed their strength through adversity during this pandemic.[11]

In April of 2020, Brian LaBovick and his team started an investigation into the mysterious and unexpected death of an inmate at Palm Beach County Jail.[12]

Other Business Ventures

Brian is founder and remains on the Executive board of Gulfstream Outsourcing and Specialized Billing, LLC (GO-SB)[13] which was founded in 2009. GOSB has grown into a nationwide medical billing and collection team which specializes in third-party liability accounts for hospitals and major medical practices. It developed software to quickly and efficiently process paperless and paper billing Motor Vehicle Accident, No Fault, and Workers Compensation claims, as well as collect available Third Party Liability benefits.

Brian developed a software program named Intake Matters[14] in 2011. That program was used at the LaBovick Law Group[1] until 2021 when it was turned into an independent company.

Political Activity

Brian was a Republican from 1982 until 2020 when he changed his party affiliation to become a Democrat. But, he is a member of the No Labels Organization that supports bipartisan negotiations on all issues. He is a hawk on foreign policy, and is on the National Counsel as a lobbyist for the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC).
