Bricks & Minifigs traces its origins to two LEGO enthusiasts who opened the first brick-and-mortar store in 2010. Today, the brand has over 100 locations across the U.S. as well as a small presence in Canada.

History
2010
Bricks & Minifigs founders John Masek & David Ortiz started working together after stumbling into a bidding war against each other over a large LEGO collection. Soon after, the first store opened its doors in Canby, Oregon with a second opening in Battle Ground, Washington.
2011-2012
Bricks & Minifigs began selling franchises throughout the U.S., which helped contribute to their continued growth. Two more stores opened their doors.
2016-2017
The first store in Canada opened, and another 20 stores opened in the U.S.
2018
John Masek & David Ortiz exited the company and passed the franchise to new hands. The Bricks & Minifigs headquarters moved to Utah. By the end of 2018, 36 locations had opened in North America.
2020
Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, Bricks & Minifigs continued as one of the only nationwide brands to carry LEGO products consistently. During this time, the Bricks & Minifigs logo and brand were also updated.
2022
Throughout the next couple of years, Bricks & Minifigs continued to grow to over 50 open stores in North America.
2024
2024 marked a major milestone for Bricks & Minifigs with its 100th location opening on February 3rd in Mesa, Arizona.
