Brigitte Belton from Wallaceburg, Ontario. DOB February 9th, 1970 – Present

During 2021, Mr. Gill and Ms. Belton purchased a 2015 Mack Pinnacle named “Daddy’s Lil Monster.” Ms. Belton named it after Harley Quinn, a comic character in which she could relate to on many levels. As essential workers deemed by the government, Mr. Gill and Ms. Belton never thought they would be subject to government mandates, essentially putting their truck off the road and out of business. After all, Ms. Belton carried loads to support the food industry and prior to starting the company, she supported the Canadian public as a reefer driver, hauling food to Canadians.

On Nov 16th, 2021, Brigitte Belton was once again faced with a CBSA agent who was unreasonable in regards to Covid Mandates. This was the third time. Her husband, Kevin Gill, filed a complaint with CBSA, in which Ms. Belton had to follow up on herself. Ms. Belton received a letter back stating that no accommodations would be made and that their officer acted without malice. Ms. Belton referred to the CBSA agents as being terrorists in her reply. There is no doubt that she has suffered at the hands of overzealous CBSA agents and will suffer long-term effects by their actions. That sparked two things: 1st, the devastation in Ms. Belton to try and take her own life as she was continually getting harassed and attacked by pro-segregation and discrimination supporters. 2nd, she then turned to TikTok and found Chris Barber, to start a convoy, and found strength in another Canadian. On Jan 1st, there is an exchange between the two that suggests the convoy should start on Jan 23rd, which was posted on Chris Barber’s Jan 1st TikTok. On Jan 2nd, Chris Barber agreed to work with Brigitte Belton to start the Convoy 2 End Mandates, which becomes Freedom Convoy 2022.

Although dates are not correct in the book “Eyewitness to Deceit” by Tom Quiggins [1] and the spelling of Brigitte’s name is incorrect. This is in fact her story. Mr. Quiggins also states the fact that this was NOT a western movement. The book also makes another factual error regarding Tamara Lich’s involvement. Prior to a Zoom call, Ms. Belton never met Ms. Lich or knew of her other than a conversation with Chris Barber regarding crowd fundraising. It has come to the attention of Ms. Belton that on several occasions, Ms. Lich refers to Ms. Belton as the one who introduced her to Chris Barber, which is factually untrue. In a conversation with Chris Barber, he stated that Ms. Lich repeatedly contacted Chris Barber to get involved in the convoy through social media.

Ms. Lich also refused to let Ms. Belton speak to reporters in February of 2022. She (Ms. Lich) threatened to have Ms. Belton’s name added to the lawsuit if she spoke to any media without checking in with herself (Ms. Lich or Benjamin Deitch). Ms. Belton did cancel the media interview with Newsmax that day after counselling with her husband. Ms. Lich further states in the exchange that it had been decided who would speak on behalf of Freedom Convoy well before the Freedom Convoy left for Ottawa. It would be fair to say Ms. Belton was well aware of the message of the convoy since she started the convoy herself, but was unaware of any such arrangements or a plot from the western Canada to take over the convoy.

Ms. Belton worked behind the scenes during the convoy only because lawyers and intelligent agents and others kept refusing to acknowledge Ms. Belton’s role in the convoy. This was due to Ms. Lich repeatedly not correcting false media and others for praising her role in Freedom Convoy. Ms. Lich, when she came into the picture, was to crowd fund nothing more. Once she was in the group, she quickly and swiftly began the takeover of Freedom Convoy, pushing a false message to media and the public, and threatening those that were there for no other cause but to end the mandates.

Ms. Belton during the convoy remembers sitting in a car with Chad Eros, Tamara Lich, her husband, Sean the driver. While Ms. Lich and Mr. Eros laughed about spending 3 million dollars on a building to support future protests [2] with Convoy donations, which was meant for truckers. Ms. Belton was outraged at the suggestion that money would go to anything else but to support the truckers; she could ensure that this could not happen.

On the advice of Mr. Gill, Ms. Belton stood back and watched. Her husband’s words were simple, “if this all goes bad, they took over. Let them take the fall too!”

It seems after there are some very important pieces of information regarding the western influence. Ms. Belton was not included in the Freedom Convoy Corporation papers. People who were included as voting members were Chad Eros, who was supposed to be Merle Lynch’s employee to secure the Freedom Convoy Funds as stated by Ms. Lich on a Zoom meeting. Mr. Eros as far as we know never worked for such a company. The Freedom Convoy Corporation was made up of mostly members from outside Ontario with a few exceptions as they needed an Ontario address. Ms. Belton made several attempts of becoming a board member; however, at each turn there was always an issue. The first issue was that the lawyers from the JCCf refused to include Convoy organizers that were given to them by Ms. Belton. Then, once members tried to make sure Ms. Belton was on the board, but she was removed by Chad Eros after she made a run from MPP of Elgin Middlesex London. Chad Eros stated that he was president of the Freedom Convoy now and that it was his decision and his alone to remove Ms. Belton without a vote by the membership. After Ms. Belton was removed again, she lost contact with the board and the JCCf lawyers. Ms. Belton has sent the JCCf notice to funding for new lawyers to resent her in the 460 million dollar lawsuit as the JCCf does not return her messages or acknowledge her existence. This was promised by the JCCf that should members choose other representation, they would fund it. Ms. Belton is awaiting a response; she believes her current representative has sent a request to have funding directed to them from the JCCf.

Ms. Belton continues to fight against mandates and to return Canadian to the days prior to Covid. She is currently working on her book, “Letters from Canada.”
