Briscoe Western Art Museum
Briscoe Western Art Museum is an American museum housing art and artifacts located in San Antonio, Texas.[1] It exhibits stories of the cowboy, vaquero, Native Americans, and the drawings, sketches, paintings, and sculptures of Western landscapes.[2]
History
The main building originally served as San Antonio's public library in the 1930s. In the 1980s, it was converted into the Hertzberg Circus Collection and Museum. After an extensive modification, the Briscoe Western Art Museum opened in 2013.
