The British National Party (BNP) is a Right-wing to Far-right Political Party in the United Kingdom. They were led by Nick Griffin for most of their existance. They were founded in 1982 by Far-right openly Neo-nazi John Tyndall the former leader of the National Front. In 1999 Tyndall and Nick Griffin both ran to be leader of the BNP Griffin won by 1082 votes to Tyndall's 411. Under Griffin they took a more moderate stance and became more Right-wing instead of Far-right. Griffin won an MEP seat for North West England in 2009 and was invited to BBC question time in 2009 he was treated very poorly by the panel, people in the crowd and on a lot of things has been proven right years later. In 2010 they didnt do very well in the General Election and started to decline from then. Griffin lost his MEP seat in 2014 and resigned as party chairman and was replaced by Adam Walker and Griffin became president. He was expelled in October 2014. Since 2019 they have been largely inactive.
