Broderick Zerpa (Caracas, October 2, 1967) is a sports journalist, actor, columnist and Venezuelan presenter, who has participated, presented and directed various radio and TV Shows. He studied Mass Communication and Business Administration.
Movies & Theater[edit]
He had a brief participation in the film of Thaelman Urgelles, "La Generación Halley", where he played the role of "Cabezón" in 1987. Many years later he made his debut in the theater with Rosalba Maldonado at the Teatro Chacaíto with the work "Sexo en Tiempos of Crisis" with which he had the possibility of visiting different Venezuelan cities. In the tables he also starred in "La Voz del Mundial" with Soraya Alcalá in Microteather in Miami and "El Amor si Existe, Cuesta 10,000 Pesos" original by Enrique Salas with Carla Angola, "First and Last Time" written by Alexis Valdés in addition to write and act in "Me Agarraron el Bate" in the Paseo de las Artes del Doral, among others.
Radio Broadcasting[edit]
He is currently the conductor of "Dos Caras y Una Historia" and "Deportes en Grande" with Fernando Arreaza, Alejandro Villegas, Bruno Gómez and Oscar Prieto and he led "Más que un Juego" in Actualidad Radio 1020 and 1040 am and 990 am ESPN Deportes Miami broadcasters of which is the Sports Director.
He has conducted programs such as "La Voz de Fanático", "Esperando la Pelota", "La Casa de la Pelota" and "Todo Deportes". In 2001 he came to Univision Radio via the WQBA station 1140 am, there he led "La Peña de Broderick" until March 2012 and there he has been the host of "Músicos, Poetas y Locos", the Monday Night Football Pre Game, "Con los Dolphins", and "Cafecito con los Marlins".
He was one of the voices in Spanish of the Miami Dolphins, being in charge of the special programming of promotions of the team by WQBA and was the narrator in Spanish of the Diamantes de Miami.

He was Executive Producer and Sports Presenter at "El Observador" on Mira TV on channel 18 of Miami. He was co-host of Deportes El Venezolano for El Venezolano TV, channel 81 in Miami. He presented Hogar TV por Tv Hogar canal 44 de Miami.
He has made coverage of elections in Venezuela for several television channels in Miami and is a consistent guest of each of the city's opinion programs dealing with sporting issues, regularly or eventually.
Broderick has been a judge at the Emmy Awards for the chapters of Colorado, Pacific Southwest, Washington DC, Chesapeake, Illinois, South East, California and Michigan, as well as being a Judge for the Suncoast Student Television Awards of Execellence and the awards for high school students 2016
As the Business Development Manager of EVTV, he led the process of expanding the coverage of the channel, taking them from a local Miami channel to having national coverage in various cable systems, with direct negotiations with each one of them.

Event presenter[edit]
Zerpa has been the presenter of the Festivals of Venezuela since 2000, to date, thus becoming a regular face for Venezuelans of South Florida, making it clear in marathons of up to 12 hours of his great quality as host of this type of events, sharing with animation figures such as Raúl González, Rebeca Moreno, María Alejandra Requena, Carinés Moncada, Nelson Bustamante, Daniel Sarcos, Carlos Acosta and José Antonio Álvarez, among others.
He has prepped the Toy Drives of the Venezuelan Business Club, where toys for children from different countries of the world are collected.
He has covered many special events such as the Festivals of Calle Ocho in 2005 and 2006, the Parades of the Magi from 2002 to 2010 and the radiothon of St. Jude Hospital from 2007 to 2012. He has also presented the Venezuelan Arts Festival together with Fabiola Colmenares
Printed Journalism[edit]
For four years he was the Head of the Sports Pages of Diario Las Américas, the oldest newspaper in Spanish in Miami, he was Chief of Sports of El Venezolano, correspondent of Diario Meridiano and special envoy of Sports Leader (newspaper) in the city of Miami.
His columns and his book "Beisbol, sus reglas comentadas" have made him known throughout the Americas. His columns have been published by Panamanian newspapers such as El Panamá América, Crítica y el Siglo; Venezuelans like the Impacto Newspaper, Nueva Prensa de Guayana, Leader in Sports and El Periodiquito.
He has written for newspapers in the Dominican Republic such as Diario Libre and El Listín Diario. Also the newspaper El Debate of Mexico, El Chamo Times of New York and Sports Focus of Houston.

For a decade he was a baseball editor for Terra Networks, he directed Las Grandes Ligas.com and is a columnist for the Huffington Post since he was AOL Fanatics.
Acknowledgments[edit]
Broderick has been recognized with the proclamation of December 18, 2004 as the Broderick Zerpa Day in the city of Hialeah, he received a Certificate of Appreciation from the City of Miami. He has received certifications of appreciation from St. Jude Hospital in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010. The Rubén Darío Cultural Institute incorporated him as an Honorary Member in 2007. He was recognized by the city of Naguanagua as Sports Journalist of the Year 1998 and received the Award " Honor to Merit Special Class "of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Venezuela in 1995. The Mayor of the city of Miami, Tomás Regalado gave recognition to his career on the web, in July 2013.
He has received four certificates of appreciation from the city of Doral for his journalistic work and support for children and youth sports and several more from the Venezuelan Business Club for his work for Venezuelans in southern Florida.
In 2014 he was nominated as Radial Personality of the Year 2013, in the national award Medals of Cortez, award created to distinguish the members of the world of media and entertainment that have shown extraordinary leadership and commitment, especially in the Hispanic community.
