Bromio is a Mexican video game publisher and developer based in Puebla. Among the video games developed by the company we can find Pato Box, Shiba Force, and, coming soon, RFM.

History[edit]

Founded by Samir Durán Kuri and Miguel Ángel Fajardo Turner in 2013, Bromio started as an app and video game developer focused on mobiles, creating titles like Take Your Time, Copy Cat Dance, and Mighty Swiping Shiba Force.[1]

One year later, Adrián Antonio Gutiérrez Gallardo[2] joined as a partner and Bromio expanded its operations to focus on video game development for consoles and started working in a video game that later came to be Pato Box, their first video game for consoles.

With Cesar Arminio López Velarde,[3] Bromio developed Pato Box and launched it in 2018 after a kickstarter campaign that managed to gather more than $200,000 MXN (around $10,000 USD). Pato Box had such a resounding success that even Goichi Suda said it was his "favorite indie game of 2018"[4] and included the title in an in-game collaboration with other indie games[5] for Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes.

After Pato Box, Bromio went back to developing video games for mobiles with Shiba Force, launching it alongside HyperBeard. This last video game also received recognition from the mexican government, along with the ESA, in the Concurso Nacional Videojuegos MX 2020, receiving the award for Best Mobile Video game App.

As of June 2021, the company is working on RFM, which was announced during the Play For All event by Gamespot during E3.
