Bronwyn Nutley (born 22 June 1983) is an Australian football (soccer) player, formerly of Melbourne Victory in the Australian W-League.[1]
As a teenager, Nutley was the victim of verbal abuse from her football coach. It took two and a half years for the football authority to investigate this incident. The coach, Mark Jones, was found guilty and cautioned. He is still allowed to coach girl's football. Nutley's mother commented on the verdict, "No one wanted to deal with it because they feared he would take legal action, and it has been a constant battle to get through past the boys' club. To finally get a result which is a slap on the wrist is absolutely disgusting."[2]
