Bronx Legends Boxing Academy
Bronx Legends Boxing Academy is a nonprofit boxing gym and youth development organization located in the South Bronx, New York City. Founded in 2025 by filmmaker and amateur boxer Jay Bulger, the organization provides free boxing training and academic support services to youth and young adults between the ages of 12 and 21.[1][2]
History
Bronx Legends Boxing Academy was established in 2025 in the Mount Hope neighborhood of the Bronx. News 12 Bronx reported on the opening of the gym, describing it as the borough’s first free boxing gym.[3]
According to the Amsterdam News, the academy was created to expand access to structured athletic programming and mentorship opportunities for youth in the community.[1]
Programs
