Brother-Michael "Katlow" Cox: A Journey Through Photography and Beyond
Brother-Michael "Katlow" Cox was born in Brooklyn, NY, on February 5, 1957. He attended Erasmus Hall High School and graduated with a degree in Computer Science from LaGuardia Community College. He also participated in the Martin Luther King Jr. Concert Series at Wingate High School for many years.
Michael began his photography journey in 1983 when film photography was prevalent. In 2009, a negative comment—"I don’t want you taking my picture with that B.S. camera"—ignited his determination, transforming him into a renowned photographer across the Tri-State area and beyond.
His work has been featured in Designer Beth Anne's interview on Alberta Prime Time TV - Building a Fashion Empire. As a published photographer, Michael strives to enhance the art of photography, living by the motto: “One Picture, One Word, Beautiful…”
In 2014, Michael and Donna Michelle Franklin co-founded "DMochelle Fashions Magazine," showcasing cover personalities such as singers Meli'sa Morgan and Melba Moore, Liz Black, actor Mikey Jay, Dr. Jeff Godere and Dr. Amber Broody, actress Jacinth Headlam, R&B group Levert II, rap legend Ms. TOI, Miss Maryland USA model Mame Adjei, pastor Donnie McClurkin, and actor Gio Delavicci.

Tonni, July's Ms. Jeannette Boyd II, September's Ms. Jill Foster, December 2019's CLEPH, May 2020's Karen Fields-Spooner, September 2020's Monique Nikkole, January 2021's Karen Fields-Spooner, February 2021's Shahndor Barnes, and April 2021's Mz. Tonni.
Michael is the Producer/Director of PIPE TV (Photography Insight Plus Experience TV). He is also the Owner and CEO of Memorie 4 Life Photography LLC and Editor-In-Chief of "Photography Insight Plus Magazine." Additionally, he serves as an Executive Producer for shows like "On the Move with Mz. Tonni" and "Beauty Behold Beauty Transitions with Jill Foster," which air on cable networks in NYC: Optimum Ch68, Spectrum Ch1998, RCN Ch83, and Verizon FIOS Ch43.
PIPE TV, a spin-off of "Photography Insight Plus Magazine," leverages articles to provide readers with an immersive experience, showcasing the talents of artists, models, authors, actresses, actors, photographers, and more. This approach helps readers connect more deeply with each featured story. PIPE TV is broadcast on BRIC TV, BronxNet, MNN and QPTV.
In 2022/2023 and 2024, Michael earned multiple Film Festival Awards and received the President Biden Lifetime Achievement Award for Community Service, as well as the People’s Choice Award for Producer for "On The Move with Mz. Tonni" at the B Free Award 2023.
