He was raised by his parents Lewis Caulk, Sr and Sallie McAlester. Bruce’s affinity for entertainment and story came at a very early age. His stepfather, literary agent Evarts Ziegler, introduced Bruce to the writings of his many clients including Robert Towne (Chinatown), Mario Puzo (The Godfather) and Larry Gelbart (MASH). Since then, storytelling has been his passion. Bruce Caulk is a University of Southern California Cinema/Television graduate, studied Shakespeare at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London and improvisational theatre with Julliard professor, Stephen Book.

CAREER: FILMAKER & PRODUCER Mr. Caulk’s first job out of USC cinema-school was in Sidney, Australia to shoot and direct a music video for the British rock group, Spandau Ballet. He then worked for Goal Productions and was co-producer and second unit director on the History of the Rose Bowl and the A Century of the Tournament of Roses in Pasadena. Shortly thereafter, he directed his first documentary, Risky Business in Reno, about one man’s roller coaster journey as a pilot at the Reno Air Races flying wingtip to wingtip, fifty feet off the ground at over 450 miles per hour. Mr. Caulk founded the digital media company Intelliscape Films in the late 1990s. It specialized in combining entertainment with brand messaging to produce commercials and “motion pictures for corporate use”. Over the decade, he’s produced, written and directed programming for clients worldwide ranging from the Apollo Group in New York to the Royal Family of Saudi Arabia, Konami in Japan to LA Fitness in California. Redemption was Mr. Caulk’s first narrative short film about Barry Minkow's comeback story, at the time a powerful tale of redemption and inspiration, of second chances and of setting things right. ABC Family hired Caulk to direct Phenoms, a pilot about extraordinary teen athletes at the IMG Academies in Bradenton, Florida. Roast it Again, Sam is a noir comedy short directed by Mr. Caulk, shot in black and white paying homage to the timeless classic Casa Blanca and the directing styles of 1940's. Mr. Caulk produced and directed Chelsea’s Light, A Brother’s Journey which premiered to a full house and standing ovation at the San Diego Film Festival in 2014 and received an Honary Award from the SD Film Festival. The film explores the underbelly of sexual predators and was told thru the eyes of Tyler King, who lost his 17-year-old sister Chelsea when she set out for a run and never returned. The film is used to influence lawmakers and initiate change with Chelsea’s Law to protect kids from sexual predators In 2018, Caulk received an Influencer Award for the impact of his work. Mr. Caulk’s feature film Con Man was released by Sony Pictures Home Entertainment in 2018. The story is the redemption gone wrong story of Barry Minkow, the youngest person to defraud Wall Street as a teenager in the 1980’s. His rise and fall was historic. Post prison, Mr. Minkow's comeback was, at face value again larger than life, but tragically flawed and the film’s story line evolved into a redemption gone wrong story. IN DEVELOPMENT FOR 2021 In 2018, Mr. Caulk wrote an original screenplay, Travel Ball, now in development at Grand Avenue Entertainment. As a parent of NCAA student athletes, he has extensive knowledge of the youth sports and family drama genres. Travel Ball reveals a grippingly raw and personal look at the millennium generation's teen athletes, the parents who push them and the coaches and system that profit from it all.

He is a co-founder of Grand Avenue Entertainment and the President of the Films division.
