Introduction[edit]
Bruh is a digital currency on the Ethereum (ERC-20) Blockchain[1] created on 10/03/2021.[2] According to its description, [3] [4] it is called "A token for the people" or "A token that relies on the people." From its website, [5] a part of it stated that the phrase "A token for the people" meant that Bruh's mission was to help those in need. It also used the popular meme Bruh, and turned it into a term also repeated on its website, called "Bruh Lives." The website definition of "Bruh Lives" means that "Bruh Lives" are the lives of those in need, which can be described with the popular culture term Bruh. From social media posts, the website is still under development and can be contributed by the public on GitHub.
Purpose[edit]
The purpose of Bruh is to be "A crypto for the people" and use its supply with some fundraised Ethereum to help what they call "Bruh Lives." [6] Also from their website, they stated that every transaction, in technical terms, is a donation to charity because of how the volume of a digital currency affects the price [7]. According to CoinMarketCap Alexandria, volume the number of trades of a cryptocurrency in a set amount of time. Volume can determine the price of a cryptocurrency along with current market conditions based on what price people are willing to buy and sell it at. Greater volume means less volatility and a greater price, while less volume means more volatility and a cheaper price[8]. Bruh mentions that they use the increased price of Bruh from volume to determine how much to donate to charitable organizations.[citation needed]
