Con.Text is a sequence of portraits that are life-size that interpret a historical event reflecting the life of subjects that are in some manner tied up with the current times. This series of portraits consists of a wide range of topics such as gender, race, war, or human rights. Overall, most of his portraits have a dark history of suppression, and his artistic work attempts to reflect the untold stories of his subjects. Ida has been inspired by victims of suppression, war, discrimination, and/or of grief, however, through his paintings hopes to grant his subjects pride, power, and endurance by sharing their stories.
