Bryan Kabugi (A.k.a "Real Buggi")

Brian Kabugi Kinuthia (born September 2, 2000), commonly known as Buggi, is a Kenyan actor best known for his performances in Kenyan TV shows such as "Machachari," "Kina," and "Salem." Kabugi has also appeared in the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA) nominated film "Dream Child," and produced and wrote his own YouTube mini series "Mid Young Crisis" alongside actress Makena Kahuha. Kabugi began his acting career at the age of 11 and has recently been nominated for a Kalasha TV and Film Award for his role in the Kenyan telenovela "Salem."

Early Life

Brian Kabugi was born in Nairobi, Kenya and raised in Langata. He developed a passion for acting at the age of 10, and his first acting role was in the Kenyan film "Machachari."

Career

Kabugi began his career at the age of 11 when he appeared in the Kenyan TV show "Machachari," where he was permanently cast as "Kenny." He has since appeared in a number of films and TV shows, including "Dream Child," "Kina," and "Salem." Kabugi is currently a lead cast member in the Maisha Magic and Showmax hit show "Salem," where he plays the character "Tito."

Television

Kabugi made his acting debut in the TV show "Machachari" in 2012, where he played a key role in establishing the show as a household name in the Kenyan cinema scene. In 2020, he appeared in the Maisha Magic show "Kina," playing the role of "Leo." Kabugi is currently playing a lead role in the Maisha Magic Plus and Showmax hit show "Salem," where he plays the character "Tito."

Film

In 2018, Kabugi starred in the feature film "Dream Child," which earned him a nomination for the 2020 Kisima awards in the category of Africa's Best Lead Actor. "Dream Child" also received nominations from the AMVCA, Zanzibar International Film Festival, and the Kalasha awards.

Other Ventures

Kabugi is also an executive film producer and has worked on the individual project "Mid Young Crisis" alongside actress Makena Kahuha.
