Bryan O'Connor is an Irish professional rugby union player who plays as a tighthead prop for Ulster in the United Rugby Championship. He previously played for Gloucester and Bedford Blues in England and represented Ireland at the Under-20 level.
Early life and education
O'Connor was born in Crosshaven, County Cork, Ireland. He attended Presentation Brothers College (PBC) in Cork, where he won a Munster Schools Senior Cup.[1]
Club career
Gloucester
O'Connor began his professional career with Gloucester in the English Premiership. He made his senior debut in 2021 against Northampton and played with the club until 2023.[2]
Bedford Blues
In 2023, O'Connor joined Bedford Blues to gain more regular first-team experience. He made over 20 appearances during the 2023–24 season.[3]
Ulster
In October 2024, O'Connor signed a two-year deal with Ulster Rugby ahead of the United Rugby Championship season. He was recruited to bolster the province's front-row depth.[4]
International career
O'Connor represented Ireland at the 2018 Under-20 World Championship.[5]
